UCPA is a not-for-profit organisation, hence the low prices. They keep prices as low as they can by keeping costs down. For example the instruction is provided by “in-house” instructors, the equipment is bought in bulk and UCPA get discounts on lift passes.

The main saving is in the “no-frills” accommodation – you have to make your own bed on arrival, clean your room upon check out, the food is buffet style and you have to clear your own table – this over time keeps costs super low, whilst maintaining good quality trips.
