At present, customers returning to the UK from France and/or Switzerland must take a pre-departure test (antigen/lateral flow or PCR) and then a PCR on or before day 2 of returning in the UK. The pre-departure test can be taken with you from the UK, to take just before returning.

You need to quarantine until you get the negative result of the day 2 test. We have heard of some customers finding rapid PCR solutions upon landing at the airports and only needing to quarantine for a few hours. There are different rules for non-vaccinated arrivals.
